PistonLab privacy

Signing in
Piston Lab uses "Sign in with Google" only to tell players apart on the leaderboard. From Google we keep one thing: your Google account's numeric ID. We do not store your email address, your real name or your photo, and other players never see them. They see the driver name you choose.
What the game stores
- Your account: the Google account ID, your driver name and when you joined.
- Your leaderboard runs: times, the build you used (engine, parts, car settings), the build's name and the date. Weekly boards are deleted 40 days after their week ends.
- A sign-in session (a random token) so you stay signed in, for up to 60 days.
- Your IP address, only as a short-lived counter to stop spam submissions (kept 10 minutes).
- In your own browser: your engine builds and settings, saved locally. They never leave your computer unless you share a build yourself.
What we don't do
No ads, no tracking or analytics, no selling or sharing of data. The leaderboard data is stored with Upstash (database) and the game is hosted on Vercel.
Deleting your data
Sign out at any time from the leaderboard panel. To have your account and runs removed, contact the developer at the support email shown on Google's sign-in screen for Piston Lab.
